Jito LLC ("Jito," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-driven SMS service to help users organize tasks, remember appointments, and receive personalized support. We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our users, particularly those in vulnerable or aging populations. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information in compliance with applicable U.S. privacy laws.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use the Jito service:

• Phone number (required to operate the SMS service)
• Name (if voluntarily provided)
• All text message communications with the service, including mood check-ins, preferences, questions, and other shared details
• Manually entered locations (e.g., addresses for appointments)

We do not collect passive location data or device metadata.

AI Processing and Data Use

Jito uses artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including large language models hosted via secure API (e.g., OpenAI), to interpret and respond to user messages. Your messages are transmitted to these models for processing, and responses are generated based on the content and context of your communications.

We use AI to:

• Recognize and respond to scheduling requests, reminders, and task management
• Identify and track mood trends or wellness signals based on message content
• Improve contextual awareness and responsiveness over time through memory-based personalization
• Support caregiver insights if authorized by the user

AI analysis is strictly limited to improving your experience and is not used for marketing, advertising, or third-party profiling.

We reserve the right to analyze anonymized and aggregated data from user interactions to improve our services, refine AI responses, and better serve the needs of our community. This data does not contain personally identifiable information and is never used for commercial resale or advertising.

Data Storage and Retention

User data, including message history and user profiles, is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Data is retained indefinitely to support long-term memory and personalization, unless a user explicitly requests deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@textjito.com or replying via SMS with the word "DELETE."

Caregiver Communication

If you choose to link a caregiver (e.g., a family member), Jito may provide general summaries such as mood updates or non-sensitive activity patterns. This only occurs with your explicit, logged consent and can be revoked at any time. We do not share exact message transcripts or medical content without verified legal authorization.

Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third-party marketers. We do not use your information for behavioral advertising. Data is shared only with:

• Our service providers (e.g., cloud infrastructure providers) for operational purposes
• Third-party AI APIs for message processing, subject to strict confidentiality and data use terms

Security Measures

SMS is not encrypted in transit. While this limitation is inherent to the SMS protocol, we mitigate risks by:

• Storing data securely with encryption at rest on AWS
• Limiting internal access to user data
• Monitoring for unauthorized access or abuse

Consent and Service Continuity

We maintain an affirmative consent model. Every 60 days, users will receive a check-in SMS asking if they wish to continue the service. Users may opt out at any time by replying "STOP." If we receive no reply, we may suspend or pause service until consent is renewed.

Your Rights and Access

You may request access to your data, correct inaccuracies, or request permanent deletion by emailing support@textjito.com. We will verify your identity before processing any such request.

Users in California

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

• The right to know what personal information we collect and why
• The right to access or delete your data
• The right to opt out of any data sale (which we do not currently perform)

We honor all verified CCPA requests and provide disclosures upon request.

Children's Privacy

Jito is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or store information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

Policy Updates

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you via SMS or email before they take effect.
